In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the Window Research Institute held an exhibition presenting the institute’s collaborative research achievements with architects and universities which focused on various themes related to windows including the culture, technology, history, representation among others. The exhibition venue comprising the Spiral’s gallery, atrium, and esplanade featured research achievements and works of twelve teams of architects, researchers, and artists. The tenant space facing Aoyama-dori featured works of Takashi Homma, and six sets of table-like furniture were placed at regular intervals in the gallery. The atrium features works of Leandro Erlich, while Hiroshi Hara’s works were displayed along the slope. We connected the dispersed exhibitions spaces in this way, while creating a line of flow from the city to the entire Spiral building.
