Bench
ベンチ

This is a bench for viewing paintings exhibited at the “Undressing Paintings” exhibition held in 2011. It has a seat made of 40mm-thick Japanese ash board and inclined legs made of 40mm x 40mm square timber of Japanese ash. The design using a bare material and four legs that appear to tilt in different ways depending on the viewing angle was inspired by the image of a voluptuous nude woman. Nuki ( penetrating tie beams) connecting legs are hidden in the thick seat board.
