Kitaoji Rosanjin: A Revolutionary in the Art of Japanese Cuisine
北大路魯山人の美 和食の天才

This is an exhibition of Kitaoji Rosanjin (1883-1959), who was active in a variety of genres including calligraphy, seal engraving, cooking, and ceramics. It is organized around Rosanjin’s ceramics, paintings, lacquerware, calligraphy and other works, as well as his writings, photography and videos on cooking and menus based on the theme ” Tableware is a kimono for food.”

書や篆刻、料理、そして陶芸など多彩なジャンルで活躍した北大路魯山人(1883-1959)の展覧会。この展覧会は、「器は料理の着物」として、和食の魅力を豊かに読み解いた魯山人の陶芸・絵画・漆芸・書作品などを中心に、料理や献立に関する著述資料、写真・映像を織り交ぜた構成となっている。
